SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

progressive learning offers Supplemental Educational Services to students qualifying for after school tutoring under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), formerly known as No Child Left Behind (NCLB). Progressive Learning SES programs are currently offered in Arizona, California and Illinois.

How it Works
Our program uses principal recommended teachers to conduct Progressive Learning's program in the school computer lab, community centers, or other convenient locations. In addition, every Progressive Learning student is assigned an Academic Coach -- a teacher and mentor specifically matched to your student for the duration of the program. The Academic Coach provides professional supervision and encouragement, helping to build confidence and increase interest in learning.
The Academic Coach and student communicate exclusively via email. Students exchange emails with their Academic Coach to discuss challenges, progress and future assignments. Participants respond to their coach to practice their writing skills. Students will compose an email outlining any questions they had about their lessons. The Academic Coach will respond with encouragement and support on lessons and activities.

Academic Coaches are all credentialed teachers and have undergone extensive criminal background checks and have been fingerprinted. All email communications are secured, monitored and completely transparent to the coach's supervisor and the student's parent.
Progressive Learning offers students interactive, computer-based lessons. Students receive a unique learning experience, different from the classroom. |

Cost
progressive learning provides FREE one-on-one tutoring to eligible students within school computer labs, community centers or other convenient locations.
If your child qualifies for free or reduced lunch, and attends an under-performing school, he or she may be eligible for FREE tutoring! To find out if your child is eligible, contact your school today!
Registration
To register for the Progressive Learning SES Program:
1. Go to the main office at your school
2. Request an SES tutoring form
3. Fill in Progressive Learning as your tutor
